The regular season is just about over for the Montana Lady Griz but the ladies can't afford an injured player with two games to go. Montana guard Torry Hill says she's out for the season with a broken right ankle.

Hill tells the Missoulian she suffered the injury in practice Friday when her foot got caught up with another player's foot and rolled off of it. X-rays on Monday confirmed the break. She is in a walking boot and her recovery is expected to take 6 to 8 weeks.

It's the second consecutive year Hill has suffered a season-ending injury. Last year, as a senior at Anaconda High, she suffered a torn ligament in her knee that required surgery.

Hill had been averaging 7.6 points per game and is leading the team with 39 3-pointers.

Coach Robin Selvig says Hill's injury will mean more playing time for freshman guard Lexie Nelson of Butte.
