As much as I hate to admit it, I have been watching far too much HGTV lately. My interest in the shows have been mostly due to the fact that I am in the market to buy a home. For me, HGTV is like having MTV's "Cribs" on 24/7. I spend a majority of the time watching and wishing I could find a nice home like the ones in the shows. Turns out, we live in a very desirable area full of homes that people want to live in. According to Brint Wahlberg of Windermere Real Estate, HGTV has set its sights on three Missoula area homes and are scheduled to begin filming this weekend. There has been no confirmation on what show they will be filming, but from my time spent watching HGTV, I am willing to assume it will be for an episode of "House Hunters."
"House Hunters" is no stranger to Big Sky country, as they recently filmed an episode in our state's capital as well as Bozeman. In the show, buyers are taken to 3 homes, each with qualities they are looking for in their dream home. In the end, they are forced to choose one. The show could also very well be a new show that HGTV has in the works called "Living Big Sky," where houses are featured that highlight what its producers say are "the state’s unique lifestyle and landscape."

According to the Independent Record

Producers are honing in on unconventional properties — converted barns, silos, hunting lodges and the like — to be purchased by out-of-state buyers as permanent or recreational homes.

Each half-hour episode will follow a realtor as he or she introduces the buyers to potential homes. Other local experts will offer information about the area’s natural amenities and give building and design tips

Brint Wahlberg of Windermere Real Estate said that his team is the listing agent for one of the featured properties, but is unsure what program they will be filming. He did however release the address to the property. It is a beautiful home on Chumrau Loop near Bonner.
