Hamilton’s "Tuesday at 12″ Highlights Local Musicians
For over 20 years, summers have been extra special in Hamilton with the “Tuesday at 12″ free public concert series at Hamilton’s Legion Park. And the series is back for 2012.
Now, during those 20 years, the tall cottonwoods that provided great shade in the park have been chopped down as they reached old age and there was danger of falling limbs. The new design of the park adds some permanent shade structures and, of course, new trees. The work continues with completion of most of the Legion Park redesign project by the middle of June…which is a week or two before the concerts start.
As organizers have done the past two years, local musicians have been put “center stage” in the Tuesday at 12 lineup, celebrating the talent we have right here in the Bitterroot Valley. An exception is The Cantrells, a Colorado-based duo who have been regulars in the park through its history, and they’ll be in the area this summer, so they’re performing.
What if construction at the park gets delayed? Not to worry. We will simply move a half-block to the Ravalli County Museum lawn. Just follow the music!
