The Hamilton High School creative writing class has accomplished what many authors always hope to do - be published.

"Rolling Roots" is the first-ever Hamilton High School literary magazine, published online (and hard copy) by the class with Treering Publishing.

In a Hamilton School District news release announcing the publication, Jen Carmody said, "I wanted them to go valley-wide and meet artists and experience the arts...There is beautiful art right here in the Bitterroot Valley."

The class, besides writing and editing their work, also learned about publishing software and how to ask for (and then select) submissions from other artists and writers.

You can see the online winter edition of "Rolling Roots" for free, or you can have a printed copy for $8.99. Contact Jen Carmody at carmodyj@hsd3.org.
