Grizzly Relocated From Golf Course
My golf game is bad enough without looking up and seeing a bear! A 4-year old male grizzly was captured earlier this week. The bear was fattening up for winter on neighbors’ apples. To make sure he didn’t start fattening up on golfers, the 333-pounder was captured near the Meadow Lake Golf Course in Columbia Falls. It was released in the upper Whale Creek area of the North Fork of the Flathead drainage. The bear did not have a rap sheet but was collared anyway so biologists can follow its movements. I’m sure when he woke up from sedation, he was really teed off. Hey, I had to get one in there. DB
