The University of Montana says this springs annual football scrimmage will be held in Billings.

The scrimmage will be Saturday, April 23 at Wendy's Field at Daylis Stadium. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children.

Kickoff is at 11 a.m.

“Greet the Griz” will be held on Friday, April 22, at the Billings Hotel and Convention Center. The event is free and begins at 7 p.m. “Greet the Griz” gives fans and families an opportunity to mix and mingle with Griz players and coaches. Monte and the UM spirit squad will be on hand along with a silent auction and autograph opportunities.

A pre-scrimmage tailgate party begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the southeast corner of Pioneer Park. The tailgate area will be open following the scrimmage and serve as a gathering spot for fans to meet Griz players and coaches. Fans will also be allowed down on the field at the conclusion of the scrimmage.

Montana finished last season with a 7-5 overall record and 5-3 in the Big Sky Conference.

The Grizzlies open the 2011 regular season on Sept. 3 against the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn.
