A huge conGRIZulations to University of Montana defensive end Tyrone Holmes. For his performance Saturday, Tyrone was named Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

In the 23-14 homecoming victory over Northern Arizona, Holmes was within a half of a sack of a new school record for the Griz. He had four sacks for -13 yards. And Tyrone's four sacks tied for most in the country over the weekend. He also leads the Big Sky Conference is sacks this season with 8.

Holmes also had 5.5 tackles for loss (-16 yards). Good to see some recognition for a Montana player, after an awesome individual performance.

Montana is on the road this coming Saturday, October 3, at Cal Davis. We'll see you on the radio starting at Noon with the Statewide Tailgate Show, Griz fans!
