The Montana Grizzlies will be in Grand Forks to take on North Dakota in Big Sky Conference football. Today's Grand Forks bite is from the origin of the name. Originally called Les Grandes Fourches by French fur traders, Grand Forks was founded in 1870 by steamboat captain Alexander Griggs. Its location at the fork of the Red River and the Red Lake River gives the city its name. And they agreed that Griggs Forks sounded lousy. Watch the game with us Saturday at Caras Park at the Rally in the Valley Viewing Party. Things get underway at 4:00, kickoff at 5:00.   http://kyssfmin-the-valley/14-september-2013-caras-park-2/.com/events-missoula/griz-rally- DB
