This will be considered one of those shoulda-woulda-coulda games. The Montana Grizzly Football team stayed with the Wyoming Cowboys, but a couple big plays in the third quarter held up and the Griz fall 17-12 in Laramie. The game was mostly a defensive struggle throughout, and even though the Cowboys gained a lot of yards on the ground, the Griz defense held their own. And while Montana gave itself a chance in the fourth quarter, the Wyoming defense was extremely impressive as well. The Griz only mustered 42 yards on the ground and a meager 201 passing yards.

And as far as weathering storms? There were two 30-minute delays: The first a severe weather alert and the second due to a lightning strike reportedly touching down.

Home opener next Saturday, fans! See you at 3:30 in Washington Grizzly.
