It’s a battle a lot of people have never heard of but it was the warm-up for the most well-known battle of the Great Sioux War. It’s called the Battle of The Rosebud and took place just over a week before the Battle on The Little Bighorn. The University of Montana Archeology Department has been conducting a survey and research in the Rosebud Creek area of Eastern Montana. They have come up with quite a presentation of facts about the battle. Those facts are the focus of the presentation Wednesday evening in the Gallagher Building on the U-M campus.  It’s in room 123 and starts at 6PM.  Western history buffs should really enjoy this.
