Great Harvest Bread Gives All to Poverello

The Great Harvest Bread Company here in Missoula is doing a fundraiser for the Poverello Center today. Owner Dave Scheel says they’ll be donating all the proceeds from their sales today to the Poverello for the construction of their new facility.  He said,” what the Poverello Center does for people in our community is inspiring and we hope to help them achieve their fundraising goal as best we can.” The Poverello Center provides food, shelter and services for homeless people. When it opened in 1981 they provided 4,800 nights of shelter and 15,000 meals. Last year the Poverello provided 25,000 nights of shelter and served nearly 140,000 meals. Great Harvest is located at 1407 South Higgins and is open from 7AM to 6PM.
