Here in Montana we're pretty far removed from the burden of freeway toll booths. But for many urban dwellers they're a way of life. And a popular gesture among good-natured motorists is to "pay forward." That is, they pay their own toll and pick up the tab for the driver behind them. Actually became kind of a tradition in Atlanta. Well, Associated Press reports that this will no longer be allowed at the Georgia 400 Toll Plaza. Turns out cashiers got caught pocketing the extra 50 cents at times in hopes the driver waiting to pay didn't see the driver in front of them covering it. I suppose 50 cents each time could add up to some decent pocket cash over the course of a work day. Wonder if the job service interviewers will ask them if it was worth it. DB
