Before you go out to get mom a gift for Mother's Day, take a little time out first to think about what she really wants. A survey by coupon site RetailMeNot finds that mom may be a lot pickier than we give her credit for. That might explain why almost nine out of ten people polled by the website believe that their mother probably returned at least one of their Mother's Day gifts over the years. Moms were also asked if they expect some sort of gift from their children and other loved ones on May 11 and the majority weren't shy to admit that they do want something nice. What's more, sixty percent of mothers believe that a member of their immediate family should spend money on a thoughtful gift rather than try to get away with a simple and cheap "I love you, ma."
