Future Travel Predictions

Technology, of course, affects almost every aspect of our lives. So no surprise travel may change in the future.

And, according to a new survey, many people believe that technology will also affect how we travel as tourists – as early as 2030.

• Beaches are nice, but 40% of those polled think underwater hotels could exist in the next 15 years.
• 35% believe space travel will be a real – and somewhat affordable – possibility.
• The concierge desk could be on the way out ... 61% think we’re going to see computerized virtual 24/7 concierge desks.
• And, as for traveling to our destinations, 24% expect flying cars will be a reality and 26% are optimistic that transatlantic trains will be developed. (Today)
