Radio gear, in this case the KYSS FM transmitter, can be very susceptible to lightening, especially when it’s perched on the top of one the highest peaks around the Missoula valley. There are only so many things you can do to protect it. The storm that passed through our area Wednesday afternoon delivered a knockout punch to a piece of that radio equipment. Consequently many of you may have had difficulty hearing us. Maybe not in your car or truck but possibly in buildings and some outlying areas. Our technician rode the chairlift to the top of the mountain this morning(Thursday) and got things squared away. We’re back at full power and thank you for your patience and understanding.
