The Children's Museum offers daily activities for your kids and resources for parents. Including free parenting classes.

They said they have classes every Tuesday and Thursday for parents. This next week they focus on, kind and firm parenting: 

Tuesday, March 1 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. Hawthorne Elementary School. The goal of this class is to learn techniques on parenting in a kind and firm manner. Providing unconditional love and limits, simultaneously, creates an atmosphere of safety, trust and harmony. Individual Training Request forms for early childhood credits are available. Childcare is free. Call 721-7690 to register.

Power Struggles : 

Thursday, March 3 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm Franklin Elementary School. According to the Children's Museum, this class explores why children engage in frustrating behaviors such as dawdling in the morning or refusing to cooperate in the grocery store, and introduces some effective ways of responding, while not engaging in a power struggle. Childcare is free. Call 721-7690 to register.
