After the chaos of a Christmas morning, this should be a welcome reprieve.

Although, when the word "free" accompanies an event, there may be a little chaos at the venue. Now, we can't say for sure that will be the case. But if it is, be patient and stay in the Christmas spirit and it will be worth it.

Thanks to their amazing staff and community volunteers, along with sponsorship support from Milodragovich, Dale & Steinbrenner P.C., our beloved Carousel for Missoula is able to confirm that they will be operating Christmas day, with free rides for kids and adults alike. Hours of operation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Built to provide the community of Missoula an option for good, old-fashioned fun, the Carousel continues to entertain the children (and the adults) in our area with rides on the beautifully crafted horses as well as with family friendly events. Whether it's helping children celebrate a special day like a birthday, or seeing families come together for a little playtime, they love being part of what makes Missoula so special.

Remember, if you can't make it on Christmas day, the Carousel is typically open daily at least from 12:00-5:00 p.m year-round, with the exception of 12 days in January. Even Carousel ponies need a little break for some tender loving care, minor maintenance and cleaning. But while the kids are out of school this time of year, it's a good option to keep in mind when you're looking for things for them to do.

For those of you who might not know, A Carousel for Missoula is located in Caras Park in downtown Missoula.
