Fall is officially here and some people celebrate the season in some pretty strange ways. Of course people are always a little more goofy around Halloween.

Here are some of the freakiest fall festivals we could find. You know ... if you're into that sort of thing:

  • Trailing of the Sheep Festival – This sheep-centric celebration involves residents of the cities of Ketchum and Hailey, Idaho, following 1500 sheep down Ketchum's main street. Who wouldn't want to look at an unending trail of sheep butts?
  • Fire Ant Festival – Marshall, Texas, embraces its love of boogie woogie-style dance music and the historic infestation of fire ants for one big festival. This fest features everything from a Fire Ant 5K, to a Fire Ant costume parade.
  • Emma Crawford Coffin Race and Parade – Manitou Springs, Colorado, was the final resting place of a woman named Emma Crawford, who moved there in 1889 to help heal her tuberculosis. Not only did she die, however, but her coffin became unearthed 40 years later and slid through town. To commemorate the event, the people of Manitou Springs re-enact the event as a race – complete with bed-ridden Emma's and all
