Former NFL Player Lost at Sea, Swims Ten Miles

Former NFL player Robert Konrad seems to have learned a thing or two during his time as a Dolphin because he was able to swim nine miles to shore after falling off a fishing boat off the coast of Florida Wednesday night.

Konrad, a fullback with Miami from 1999 to 2004, was fishing near Palm Beach when he fell overboard. His boat drifted away from him and he managed to swim nine miles to shore. The Coast Guard searched in the water for him and eventually found him on the beach. It's believed that he spent at least 10 hours in the water.

Konrad was showing symptoms of hypothermia and taken to the hospital. He was later released in good condition
