Flathead Lake Monster Hoax Uncovered

OK, I guess it’s time to tell the real story on the Flathead Lake Monster pictures we’ve posted the last couple of days.  It was all a practical joke, a hoax. A couple of you who responded with what you thought about the “monster pictures” came very close to what you were looking at online. It was interesting to hear that some of you went so far as to Google check it and say it appeared to be very similar to the Loch Ness Monster.

I got the idea watching local TV weather (KPAX) and their use of the EyeCam on the hospital in Polson. It was one of those,”you know what a guy could do,” moments. So, I did.  Hope you had some fun with this. This is the original, pre-photoshopped,  “Flathead Lake Monster” picture.
