For the first time in decades you can float this part of the Blackfoot River.

We all love to float and so this news is great for us, but please be cautious as this area of the Blackfoot now opened to floaters was once an industrial workplace area. Meaning debris is still very common there. Not only logs everywhere but metal and glass. Where the Weigh Station fishing access site above Bonner, through the confluence with the Clark Fork River is now opened to floaters.

They have been working on cleaning this up for a few years and still have some work to do but feel it is safe enough to float.

Enjoy mother nature but please be careful, life vest and logic are going a long way in areas like this.
