Find New Roads in Montana’s Mission Mountains

You would be hard pressed to find more majestic and beautiful mountains than those found in Montana’s Mission Mountain range. Covered in snow most of the year, these jagged peaks are hard to miss if you take a short drive north on Highway 93. 

While you’re enjoying the view of the Mission Mountains on your journey up north, be sure to stop at any one of the local fruit stands that sell Flathead cherries. These cherries are grown locally by family farmers who live near Flathead Lake. They are the best cherries northwest Montana has to offer.

If you’re looking for a feast for the eyes instead of a feast for the mouth, then look no further than Mission this July. At the beginning of the Missions sits Evaro, home to one of the biggest selections of fireworks around, and also is a local distribution base for numerous other firework companies.

To really appreciate the culture and the flavor of Mission, Montana, you have to attend an authentic Native American pow wow. Every year multiple pow wows are held on the Flathead Indian Reservation. These pow wows are a way for Native Americans to celebrate their culture through dance, song and friendship.
