Facebook and Self-Esteem?

According to a new study, the more Facebook likes and comments a person receives, the more likely they are to feel positive about themselves.

Unfortunately, this works both ways. The fewer likes and comments a person gets, the more likely they are to feel lonely and have low self-worth.

Researchers found that people who received no feedback said they felt “invisible” and showed “lower levels of belonging, self-esteem, control, and meaningful existence.”

That’s right. Getting snubbed on Facebook can lead to you questioning the meaning of your existence on the planet. (CBS News)
