Extra Patrols Will be Watching For DUIs in Missoula During St. Patrick’s Day Weekend

Like New Year's Eve and the Superbowl, for many, St. Patrick's Day has become a drinking holiday.

Missoula County Sheriff's Department public information officer Jason Johnson says that extra deputies will be on the streets specifically searching for DUI violations over the weekend.

Johnson says there were extra patrols out during this past New Year's Eve, and that there was a reduction in the number of DUI incidents compared to past years.

Planning ahead, having a designated driver, and drinking responsibly can help ensure that all Missoulians have a safe holiday weekend.
