KYSS FM Radio Rafting Trip

Our KYSS FM Radio Rafting Trip with Scott Shannon is Sunday, Aug. 26 ! We will take you down 16 miles of the Clark Fork River through the Alberton Gorge.

In addition to the gorge’s awesome 15 rapids, splashes and excitement, the river runs past gorgeous scenery and meanders through deep canyons with crystal blue tributaries.

There is plenty of history and folklore to be encountered during the trip too. Lunch will be served half way down the river at Sandy Beach. Adventures with Western Waters provides us with a delicious sandwich spread on their homemade focaccia bread, fresh homegrown veggies and homemade dessert!

The cost is only $65 dollars per person and includes your bus transportation, all of your gear for a full day of rafting, and a homegrown catered lunch! PLUS, memories with KYSS FM that will last a lifetime!

To sign up, stop by the KYSS FM studios at Townsquare Media, located at 3250 South Reserve Street, Suite. 200, above the Western Montana Lighting Building. We are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Checks and credit cards accepted, sorry no cash. Seats are limited, and sold as first come first served. All participants must be 18 years or older to travel the rapids on this trip.

THINGS TO BRING:

-Sunscreen
-Sunglasses (preferably with a strap)
-Swimsuit
-Hat/visor
-Quickdry shorts
-Fleece or nylon windbreaker
-Towel
-Warm clothes for bus ride home
-Strapped sandals/shoes that will stay on your feet

We recommend synthetic material clothing for the river. Bring any cotton clothing for after the day of rafting.

Schedule

8:30 a.m. – Load bus at Snowbowl parking lot next to Town Pump

North of I-90 on Grant Greek Rd

8:50 a.m. – Leave Missoula

9:30 a.m. – Arrive at Western Waters – Cyr, Montana

10:00 a.m. – Put in the Clark Fork River

1:00 p.m. – Lunch at Sandy Beach

5:00 p.m. – Arrive back at Western Waters

6:00 p.m. – Leave for Missoula

6:40 p.m. – Arrive in Missoula

• Trip includes bus, all day whitewater rafting and a homemade, homegrown catered lunch.
• No alcohol permitted for this trip.
• Must be 18 years or older to travel the rapids on this trip.
