Dustin Lynch is a tough country man, but he's not too tough to admit that he cries. The singer stopped by the Taste of Country Nights studio to chat about his new single, "Hell of a Night," opening up about the possibility of it topping the charts and what that might do to him.

Lynch, now opening for Luke Bryan on the Kick the Dust Up tour, has already experience his first No. 1 hit with "Where It's At," and he shares that he got a little emotional when he got to celebrate the song with his team.

"I got to do it with ‘Where It’s At,’ I know how that works now. I cried like a baby. I’m a very emotional guy and it doesn’t take a lot for me to tear up," the singer openly admits to us.

He doesn't get emotional for himself, but for his whole team, thinking of all of the work that goes into bringing up a hit single. Lynch says there are so many people behind the scenes that don't get to celebrate onstage like he does every  night.

"There’s so many people behind the scenes that are away from their families and on the road and really lay it all out there for me and our band guys to have success at radio like we do. With this song it’s been no different," Lynch explains. "They’ve been out working hard all year, and so for us it’s a great win, because we get to celebrate their hard work. Every night we get to go out on stage and feel that from the crowd, but the No. 1 party is our team’s moment to really be recognized. That’s why it’s so special.”

Lynch does hope to hold it together if "Hell of a Night" climbs to the top of the charts, but no one will hold it against him if he doesn't!

Sam Alex is the host of Taste of Country Nights radio, a syndicated night show which airs on more than 60 Townsquare Media Group stations nationwide.
