Do You Still Have Part of Your Wedding Cake?

Do not think for one minute I'm about to give you a lecture and sanitary shelf life for frozen food! Oh, no, my friends. This is a slice of love, sentimentality and devotion. And a darned cute one at that.

First, happy 60th anniversary to Ann and Ken Fredericks of Satellite Beach, Florida. Every anniversary they take a bite from the top layer of their wedding cake. It's in a coffee can in the freezer. They like to put a little brandy over it for moistening purposes. Well, sure! Ann says her children are a little appalled by the tradition, but it has never done them any harm.

Ann and Ken were married in Nyack, New York in 1955. Ann's grandmother made the cake for them. And that is your sweetness for the weekend, gang!   DB
