Well, it's a fascinating piece of history (200 years old). We have state birds and animals and songs and stuff...Indiana is campaigning to have this be their state rifle.

It's called a Grouseland, made by Indiana's first sheriff in the early 1800s. The state legislature passed a measure making it the state firearm, just waiting on the governor to sign the measure. Did you know only 2 states have state guns? Utah and Arizona. I was just thinking when our legislature convenes next year, they're always looking for less ummm...hard-issue-oriented laws to pass. Maybe this would be a good one for them when they meet. Good idea? And what should the firearm be?  DB
