Okay, I guess I took it to extremes here, but there seems to be some accusations of melted car "parts." That's according to Associated Press, who say London developers are looking into the way an unfinished skyscraper reflects sunlight, after claims the intense glare melted parts of car parked nearby. The skyscraper is nicknamed the "Walkie-Talkie" because of its curved shape. An vehicle owner complained his car's mirror and panels melted from the concentrated heat of sunlight reflecting from the building. The developers say the phenomenon is caused by the current elevation of the sun in the sky and that the problem lasts about two hours a day. Well, since the sun is probably not going to leave the sky they better talk about what they can do to correct the problem. Preferably on walkie-talkies. DB
