Deputy, Donkey and Dandy Deed Done

What's a police officer to do when he says a miniature donkey in distress? Give it a ride of course.At least that's what Officer Kyle Canaan of Norman, Oklahoma, felt was the right thing to do. And owner Matt Spaulding couldn't he happier.

Associated Press says Officer Canaan gave "Cruz" the miniature donkey a ride in his patrol car after seeing the animal wandering a rural road. Spaulding figures Cruz managed to navigate under an electric fence. Cruz obviously has some moves, as it is a retired "basketball donkey." People would ride on its back during charity basketball games.

Officer Canaan says Cruz was a perfect fit in the cruiser's backseat. Had a sweet jump shot, too!   DB
