I love hearing stories like this, unfortunately the under lying issue is very sad. These sick kids were treated to a special trip though. Most kids go to the local mall to meet Santa Claus and tell him what they'd like for Christmas, but a special group of kids in Atlanta got to go all the way to the North Pole.

A group of patients at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta were treated by Delta Air Lines to an unforgettable trip to the North Pole to meet Santa and his elves.

The kids, who are all battling cancer and blood disorders, were taken to the airport where they were greeted by pilots and elves. Then they were loaded onto a plane for their flight to the North Pole. The plane taxied around the tarmac for 45 minutes before coming to a stop where the kids exited the plane and were met by more elves and Santa and Mrs. Claus.

The guests of honor had a party, complete with indoor snow, and got to dance and enjoy activities. One Delta employee said, "It is very much a part of the culture at Delta to give back to the communities where we live and work, and with Atlanta being our hometown, we greatly value our partnership with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and look forward to hosting the North Pole event every year." This is the time of year where people try to do good things and help others and I hope that continues to be the case.
