Wow! I find this just so bizarre. And the purported amount of money involved in the scam is staggering. Forty-one people in Philadelphia are facing charges in an insurance fraud scheme that used dead deer to fake car accidents. Prosecutors say we're talking in the neighborhood of $5 million here. The owner of an auto body shop is accused of telling customers to claim they hit a deer rather than another car so insurance companies would consider them "no-fault" and pay the claims without raising premiums. And how would the shop help prove it? Well, the owner is also accused of storing deer carcasses, blood and fur in his shop to use as props. Charges are "mounting."  DB
