Could Sunday Have Been Any Nicer? Nope!
February 13, 2011 6:27 PM My wife and I took about a four hour hike up Rattlesnake Creek on Sunday. What a great combination. The best of winter and plenty of sure signs spring was just around the corner.
Notice the snowman in the background. It had dried grass for hair. By the time we came back about three hours later there were two snowmen.
I’ve heard Missoula described as “the longest umbilical cord in the world.” It does always seem to draw you back. The Rattlesnake Wilderness area certainly is one reason.
Patty and I packed a lunch, hiked for a couple of hours and enjoyed the first picnic of the season.
By the time we got back to the area of the trailhead someone had built another snowman right across the trail from the first one. Public art at its finest.
