My favorite part of cookies has always been the cookie dough. The balls of dough on the cookie sheet would disappear just as fast as my mom could put them there when my siblings and I were younger. My kids are no different. Another food my kids adore is peanut butter.

They will eat peanut butter on any kind of cracker known to man, with pretzels, with fruit and of course with jam and bread. My husband loves to throw peanut butter in his protein shakes. How great would it be if you could mix these two favorites into one delicious new favorite? Thanks to this recipe you can.

Cookie Dough Peanut Butter

1 cup peanut butter

1/2 cup butter

3 tablespoons flour

3 tablespoons honey

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 teaspoon vanilla

3 tablespoon mini chocolate chips

Throw the butter in a saucepan on medium heat until the butter turns brown. As soon as it turns brown, remove the pan from the burner.

In a large bowl add the butter, peanut butter and flour, then stir until combined. Add the honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, sea salt and vanilla and stir again until combined. Place lid or plastic wrap on the bowl and then let it sit in the fridge for one hour.

After one hour, pour the chocolate chips into the bowl and stir until chips are completely mixed throughout. Take the entire mix and scoop it into a mason jar and screw on the lid. Be sure to store the cookie dough peanut butter in the fridge.
