Everyone knows at least one "yooper," right? Well if you don't know what it means you'll be able to look it up. The folks in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, or U.P., call themselves yoopers. And after a 10-year campaign to make it happen, yooper will be added to the 2014 edition of Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary. Campaign organizer Steve Parks said he started the drive after he realized he couldn't use the work yooper in a game of Scrabble. So here's a big congratulatory holler and a whooper for a yooper! Take that, auto-correct! The dictionary goes on sale in April.  DB
