Ahhhaaaa!! See. you're getting some comments, some feedback. You know how I feel about Old School country music. I guess I would urge that close attention be paid to the songs that are requested weekdays on Denny's hr long request show. Sometimes there will be more oldies played that hr than the whole rest of the day, must be what the people want to hear, or at least the people that are listening, to both the music and advertisements.....just sayin.

We all know there is much involved and you can't please everyone but I was kind of at a loss Sunday Morning.

Cheers

I either love remakes/covers or I hate them. The best ones showcase the new artists style without compromising the integrity or meaning of the original track. Don't try to mimic Waylon, or Johnny or Elvis....I'm just sayin'.

"probably just serving alcohol and no food"...........I think that would go over just fine in Butte on St Patty's Day. I have some fond memories of the M&M. Every year my friend from Germany visits we always had to go to Butte for breakfast at the M&M. He just thought it was the best thing ever that the cook with all the scars and the cigarette seemed to get your chicken fried steak on the plate without the two inches of ashes hanging off the end falling on your gravy and the grumpy tattooed waitress that pretty much dropped your plate in fron of you from at least a foot above the table was always a crowd pleaser. Something about that place....I'll be back.

We had our 20 yr HS class reunion a few years back at Lolo Hot Springs. I had rented a cabin at The Lumberjack with a friend. A bit after dark I fired up the 64 Cadillac Coupe (the one with the flames) and we crept down winding 12 to our destination. We came around a corner (not going very fast, knew there was allot of wildlife) and there was a cow and calf moose right in our lane. They were RIGHT THERE, like immediately around that blind corner. I don't think I even had time for my foot to reach the brake pedal. The moose split opposite directions the last mili-second. The calf went towards the left and actually folded back the drivers rear view mirror when we bumped it, the Cow broke right and her butt thumped the passenger door. We didn't stop for long with it being dark on a blind corner but it looked like the pair came together behind us and trotted off down over the hill unscathed. My friend and I had been in our designated seats until we parted the moose and somehow we both ended up in the middle of the seat almost on each others laps. .......Faddy The Caddy was unscathed too, think we still had both moose outweighed with cold hard American steel.

I handled a local estate that had a ton of paperwork including many receipts from Missoula Merch in the late 1800's, early 1900's. It was fun to read what people purchased. You could get everything there, from dry goods, to stationary, tack or you could splurge on a few "fresh" (ya right) oranges or even a nice fur wrap or hat for the little lady. They even had a branch in Florence and Stevensville they would deliver to and had a smaller selection of goods. (This was before the 4 lane extended all the way to Missoula of course)

My Mother gave up saying "that's enough" well over 20 years ago, after that she went through the rolling her eyes stage, then shaking her head and anymore she just throws up her hands and turns away. (I think so I don't see her smiling with pride) I got a fake tattoo on the beach in Cabo, it's about worn off now. I spelled it for the gal and she still got it wrong, took my money and ran while I was watching the booty shaking contest at The Mango deck. Anyway, as they say in Mexico. MAMA TRIDE

Ooooooooo....blogs, I love blogs, especially controversial ones, debate, debate. This ones easy for me though, the usual Holiday escape for me is South of our Border, Mexico that is. Just spent almost two weeks in Cabo San Lucas for the sole purpose of "shortening" my least favorite season. Fished almost every day, (caught my first Rooster Fish after trying for 5 years) plenty of good seafood and spirits. (I meant to bring you a tequila menu Al from Ponchos Restaurant, which boasts Mexico's biggest tequila selection when I went to eat there a second time but found a good rib joint I had to try and never made it back) Anyway, I think they have over 300 in house. The tequila menu is bigger than the dinner menu. You could purchase shots all the way up in the excess of $125 USD. (Yes 125 bucks a shot) WE settled for the $20 a shot stuff, next time I'll try the other and compare (If you're buying) Anyway, traded some prized Yellow Fin Tuna we caught to the owner of a sushi joint for a 10 course sushi feast for 8 people. He even smuggled beer in as he knew I was coming and didn't have his liquor licence for that location yet. My favorite cantina (The Happy Ending) burned down the night before I could make it out on the town. It has (had) a palm leaf roof so I would imagine the New Years Eve fireworks didn't help matters any, nor did the fact that the first three firetrucks that arrived fail to bring water with them. They are rebuilding as we speak, any tourists that like the place come right in and get their hands dirty painting and framing and such. I should go someplace else one of these winters but it's kinda like a second home now. Everybody knows my name......sidenote. There are several "KYSS" stickers around town, one even in the "Elbow Room" (in cabo that is) It is the worlds smallest bar, so they say, I was in a pretty small bar in Hilger Mt once. The Elbow Room in Cabo is about 8'x10'. That should hold me over till the Braun Reunion.....ok, maybe a couple lil road trips in between, I heard there is a pretty small bar in Galata MT. I'll bring the measuring tape.
