A decade ago, he was one of the first artists to break out online through social media.

Today Cole Swindell is one of the hottest stars in country music with his headlining tour coming in 2024, a tour which will include a stop right here in Missoula.

And if you're anxious to be singing along with hits like "She Had Me at Heads Carolina" on a perfect Montana summer evening, here are all the details on how to get tickets from Logjam Presents, starting later this week.

Like many country music stars, Swindell grew up in Georgia eventually deciding to follow his dream to Nashville, after meeting fellow alum Luke Bryan when he played a gig at Georgia Southern University, where he'd been studying marketing.

He turned those marketing talents to good use, selling merch for Bryan and writing songs on the road. That turned to gold when he co-wrote "This is How We Roll", the mega-hit for Florida Georgia Line.

Launching his own career

In 2013, Swindell produced his first single "Chillin' It", which got big attention online and through satellite radio, eventually leading to a record deal with Warner Brothers Records and a #1 single by the end of the year. In 2015 he won the ACM Award for "New Artist of the Year."

Subsequent hits like "Ain't Worth the Whiskey", "Single Saturday Night", "Never Say Never" and last year's clever re-tooling of Jo Dee Messina's smash, "She Had Me at Heads Carolina" have continued to build his fan base and success.
