Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks game wardens are investigating the poaching of a white tail buck at the Deer Creek Shooting Range in East Missoula.

Investigators say someone on range 50B shot the buck twice with a pistol sometime between late Saturday (8/18) and early Sunday (8/19). The carcass was left.

Wardens are analyzing evidence collected at the scene and asking anyone with information on this incident to call 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668) or contact Warden Miller at 406-240-3140.

Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 for providing information that leads to a conviction.
