Clean River, Clear Water

I’ve floated the Blackfoot as I’m sure many of you have. It’s too nice to not get involved and help keep it clean.

Volunteers are needed to help with the ninth annual Blackfoot River Cleanup on Saturday, July 28.   Bring your own boat if you have one, and shuttles and rafts will also be available for cleanup participants. Volunteers can also help by walking and wading to pick up litter from the river bank and access sites.

Interested participants should meet at Johnsrud Fishing Access Site. Those bringing rafts, snorkelers or scuba divers should meet at 8a.m.  All other participants should gather at 9a.m. To reach the site, travel approximately 10 miles east of Bonner on Highway 200 and then turn on the Johnsrud Park Road and for one half mile.
