Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake Recipe
My boys (my husband included) absolutely love chocolate chip cookies. I don’t make them as often as they would like because they are a bit labor intensive. Making the dough isn’t difficult, but the fact that you have to babysit the stove and scoop blob after blob of dough onto a cookie sheet, bake it and then do it all over again, it gets a bit old. If I don’t have an hour or two of free time, then it’s hard for me to make them.
When I ran across this super simple twist on the classic chocolate chip cookies, I just had to try it. It is great because there is no scooping blobs of dough, it bakes for only 20 minutes and it tastes like chocolate chip cookies. Did I forget to mention that it only takes five simple ingredients to toss this masterpiece together too?
Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake
1 box yellow cake mix
2 eggs
2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon vanilla
5 tablespoons butter
2 cups chocolate chips
Melt butter in the microwave. In a large bowl beat the eggs until well combined. Add the cake mix, water, vanilla, melted butter and chocolate chips. Mix with a whisk until combined. Scoop the batter into a greased 9x13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
