Charlton Heston, who passed away in 2008, was not only an amazing actor, he was quite the gun collector. The following is an excerpt from the ultimatesportsmen.com that we thought western Montana gun enthusiasts might enjoy:

It's a gun "basement", not a gun "room." Heston had an astronomical number of fans. He really did have an extraordinary life. Heston worked hard and played even harder. He was an adventurer who often traveled abroad. He was also known for his political activism. In the 1950s and 1960s he was one of the few Hollywood stars that actually spoke out against racism and was also an active supporter of the Civil Rights Movement and the right to bear arms. Heston was also president of the National Rifle Association for a period of time.

Quite the impressive display from his arsenal vault, which is located under his manor house.
