In Missoula District Court Tuesday morning, now former University of Montana quarterback Jordan Johnson entered a plea of not guilty to the charge of sexual intercourse without consent. One of Johnson’s defense attorney’s, Kirsten Pabst said she would be filing a motion to dismiss the charges.
University of Montana Athletic Director Jean Gee confirmed Friday that former Grizzly quarterback Jordan Johnson will be able to keep his athletic scholarship, should he decide to return to classes in the fall. Gee said that despite the charge of sexual intercourse without consent leading to Johnson’s suspension from the football team, his scholarship remains intact.

The University of Montana announced Thursday morning that Delaney has signed a two-year contract and is now the official head coach of the Grizzlies. The announcement came at a press conference held in the Canyon Club, fittingly located inside Washington Grizzly Stadium. Interim Athletics Director Jean Gee made the announcement after a brief introduction by University of Montana President Royce Engstrom.

KGVO News learned from interim University of Montana Athletics Director Jean Gee on Friday that quarterback and running back Gerald Kemp is no longer on the Grizzly football team. Gee says Kemp was removed from the team for ‘violation of team rules’.
