Mail-In Ballot Deadline Is Today

The election is Tuesday but the last day to mail-in your ballots for the Missoula County Public Schools Election is today (Monday, May 2nd).

If you forgot to get it into the mail today there are several “drop boxes” available across the county to place your ballot. The boxes will be accessible between 7 am and 8 pm today.

I Guess That’s How It Goes

Many of you know I lost my son, U.S. Marine Andrew Bedard, in Iraq 5 and a half years ago. Prior to the service, we were warned there may be a protest.  The Westboro Baptist Church pickets military funerals under a premise so disgusting I don't even want to write the words. We were lucky. They didn't show up at Andrew's service. Today the U.S. Supreme Court on a vote of 8-1, upheld a lower court's ruling that they are protected under the first amendment and tossed out a grieving father's lawsuit against them.
