I get regular e-mail updates from a Country music website called "Roughstock". What I like about the site is that they tell it like they see it. They're not afraid to tell Country radio when they think a big artist is showing little talent. That's not the case with the new Ronnie Dunn record, out today.
"And I need you more than want you...and I want you for all time...."
"The work we done was hard. At night we'd sleep, 'cuz we were tard..."
"We'll bring out the Elvis TV trays......"
Well, we are closing in on the home stretch for contestants to turn in their entry forms. We'd sure like to have those by June 3rd...

Well, we are starting to get entry forms rolling in for the Texaco Country Showdown talent contest. It's sure a lot easier to enter! How easy?
Taste of Country got an exclusive interview with Brad Paisley this week, in which, among other things, the country superstar talks about how Carrie Underwood has become his go-to duet partner.
"Sheís probably pretty much my first choice to sing with when it comes to a duet with a woman like that. I mean, we just sort of share the same values and get along that well," Paisley tells Taste of Country. "I just donít think thereís a better singer than her, so itís sort of selfish to be able to sing with her and perform."
We're happy to announce that John Bruce Evans is the official winner of last month's Kenny Chesney contest! Evans and a guest will fly from Texas to Green Bay, where they'll see Chesney play at Lambeau Field on June 11, and get the chance to meet the superstar.
We put on the contest last month with the help of our friends at Taste of Country. Read more about Evans plus your chance to win a trip to see Brad Paisley in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Nice alliteration on that headline, eh? If you've bought your tickets for Ronnie Dunn at the Lumberjack Saloon on Friday, July 22nd you might be wondering what to expect. Or if you've been on the fence about buying tickets until you hear its money well spent this might help.
Brad Paisley's newest record, This is Country Music, plays like a country rock mix tape curated and orchestrated by Paisley himself. It's packed with guest appearances from the likes of coiffed guitar acrobat Marty Stuart, classic rock crooner Don Henley and, of course, Paisley's go-to duet partner these days, Carrie Underwood. Plus, Clint Eastwood whistles the melody to the instrumental 'Eastwood.' If that sounds like the most awesome thing ever, well, what can we say?
Not that it's anything new for the 'Celebrity' singer - he's put together some great collaborations in his day. Check out our list of the five best Paisley duets of all time, and when you're done reading, head over to our Facebook page to enter for your chance to win a trip to West Palm Beach to see Paisley in concert - and meet him backstage.
