Carrie Underwood and crooner Tony Bennett will be performing a duet together at the 2012 Grammy Awards this year. Fresh off her mashup performance with Steven Tyler, Underwood is teaming up with another amazing vocalist — though not for the first time.

The official Twitter account of the Grammys confirmed the performance today, posting the good news: “This Just In: @itstonybennett & Carrie Underwood 2 perform a duet @ #GRAMMYs on 2/12 8pmET/PT #CBS.”

So if you weren’t already planning to tune into music’s biggest night this coming Sunday, this news should certainly give you a reason to change your mind and plop down on the couch and watch. How could you not want to see the a classic artist collide with a modern one in what is sure to be a show-stopping vocal duet? This could be one for the Grammy history books, country fans.

We’re going to make an educated guess here and assume that Underwood and Bennett will offer up their rendition of ‘It Had to Be You,’ which they handled beautifully on his ‘Duets II ‘ album that came out last fall. Underwood and Bennett certainly make a cute couple, at least professionally speaking.

This is one duet you won’t want to miss.
