Carrie Underwood is ready for some football. NBC released a first-look teaser for the country star's new Sunday Night Football opening theme. The 15-second preview is set to the tune of Underwood's duet with Miranda Lambert, "Something Bad."

The Sunday Night Football teaser features iconic images from the NFL — the lights, the field, a giant flag unfurling — interspersed with glimpses of Underwood in a spotlight, singing the new theme's title: “Oh, Sunday Night.”

Underwood looks stunning as usual — not to mention ready for action — as she declares the anthem that lets the games begin. The spot has been airing during the Olympics on NBC, the network where Sunday Night Football will begin Sept. 11 with the Patriots facing off against the Cardinals.

The country superstar has been performing the Sunday Night Football theme for the past few years, taking over for Faith Hill beginning in 2013. This year they decided to do something a little different, cutting a new song entirely.

“I love being part of the Sunday Night Football family and can’t wait for the fans to hear the new theme song,” Underwood remarked when they announced the recording.

“Earlier this offseason, Carrie said she had a special idea for a new SNFopen song. When we got into the recording studio in Nashville, the song instantly came to life and will be a dynamic addition to our show,” Sunday Night Football Executive Producer Fred Gaudelli commented at the time.

Underwood is currently in the touring off-season, but she joins up with Keith Urban at the end of the year for some of his Ripcord Tour dates in Australia and New Zealand. She recently charted her 24th career No. 1 with “Church Bells” from her most recent record Storyteller.
