California Walnut Case Cracked

Walnuts? Not so much. But try to take my cashews and we got a problem, mister!But it seems that nut crimes are on the rise as crops have increased in value and authorities cracked a biggie in central California. Two men have been arrested on suspicion of stealing $400,000 worth of walnuts---an estimated 140,000 pounds! Kudos to growers and processors who formed a task force to help guard their nuts. "Operation Protective Cup?" No, I don't think so, but they did uncover the walnut operation involving the two suspects stealing double semi-trucks full of walnuts. Congrats, crime fighters, on getting those two nuts behind bars.   DB
