This is one of the coolest things I have heard any local store doing, Cabela’s has partnered with Youth Outdoors Unlimited (Y.O.U.) to outfit, Laine Jones, a teenage girl from Stevensville, MT that is battling Cystic Fibrosis, on an elk hunting trip this fall - a life-long dream of hers. Laine and her family will be shopping at the Cabela’s Missoula store on Thursday, September 21st at 6:30pm. Laine has no idea but Cabela’s will be donating the gear she chooses to her at no charge. Laine has a great spirit and feels she is ready to share her story to encourage other teens suffering from Cystic Fibrosis to reach for their dreams.

Laine has had an especially tough summer this year due to the extreme fire conditions in Western Montana. Cystic Fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. Unfortunately, there is NO known cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

It is awesome to see Cabela's stepping up to help people live out their dreams of a hunting expedition, one of those things we take for granted living in Western Montana.
