Work on the Scott Street Bridge may cause some traffic congestion tomorrow, September 22, according to Missoula District Bridge Coordinator Jamie Shaw.

"We're just doing a routine inspection of the Scott Street Bridge using the "Snooper Truck, which is what we call the truck with the bucket on it; where we can go under the bridge with the truck sitting on [the bridge] and get a first hand view of the bridge substructure and superstructure," Shaw said.

The bridge inspection is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m., and Shaw says traffic can still cross the bridge, it might just take longer.

"We'll have traffic open all day on it," Shaw said. "We'll have one lane closed and we'll have flaggers on both sides and they'll be letting traffic take turns on the open lane. Traffic will be open, it just might be slowed down a little."

The bridge inspection is scheduled to be over by 3:00 p.m.
