Breaking Beer Brewing News From Finland
One of the world’s oldest preserved beers is going to be reconstructed. The beer, which dates from the 1840s, was discovered in an ancient shipwreck in the Åland archipelago in summer 2010. The beer has been analyzed in order to recreate the recipe to enable the manufacture of new industrial production. It will be up to the Åland brewery Stallhagen to produce beer. The bottles, which have been preserved on the seabed about 50 meters deep in some 170 years, were analyzed by the Technological Research Centre VTT in Finland.
